• Swiss Benevolent Society of San Francisco

The Swiss Benevolent Society of San Francisco awards several scholarships to students of Swiss descent demonstrating financial need and academic excellence. • Army ROTC Scholarship Program

Deadline: Open

ROTC awards scholarships to hundreds of students, regardless of families' financial status. Based solely on merit, these scholarships pay up to $68,000 for tuition and fees. Each scholarship also includes an annual book allowance and a stipend of up to $4,000 a year.

• The Andrew Flushe Scholarship Contest

Deadline: January 31, 2015

The scholarship contest will test the student's ability to spread the word about the dangers of drinking and driving among teens. The task is for the student to create a public service announcement (PSA) to raise awareness of the severity of this problem. The winner will receive $1,000 for college.

The Minorities in Government Finance award funded by Tyler Technologies is offering a $7,000 scholarship. Students must be a full or part time student in public administration, governmental accounting, finance, political science, economics or business administration.

• Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship

Deadline: February 20, 2015

The Frank L. Greathouse Government Scholarship is offering a $7,000 award. It is available for two graduate or undergraduate students enrolled in full-time study preparing for a career in state and local government finance.

Silicon Valley Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs that grant up to $40,000 to high school, community college and university students, current or former residents of San Mateo, Santa Clara and San Francisco counties.
