Tips for Productive Performance Review Meetings
It’s that time of year! In the weeks ahead, many managers will be scheduling year-end review meetings with their staff. These meetings are opportunities to discuss past job performance and goals for the coming year. While you may sometimes feel “at sea” as you anticipate the performance review meeting, there are some useful principles about how to talk with an employee about his/her performance that will help you more confidently lead the meeting. As a program participant, you will:
- Review guidelines for giving appreciative and improvement-oriented feedback
- Identify specific approaches that contribute to a productive two-way conversation
