Discuss this student’s academic qualifications, laboratory skills, and/or personal characteristics that suggest success in this program. If the student does not meet any of the general criteria (year in school, GPA), explain why special consideration should be granted to this student. Describe the preparation of the research proposal. Comment on the feasibility of the proposed project. Please describe how you intend to mentor this student during the summer, including frequency of meetings. Discuss any travel plans that may impact this project. If your student is seeking additional employment, discuss how this will impact the project. If you are sponsoring more than one student, RANK the students you are sponsoring. If this project requires two students, please indicate this. Approval The following questions replace the need to sign the student forms. These will signify that you have read the application materials of the student you are sponsoring.
