Mission

The Mission of The Department of Public Safety at Saint Mary’s College of California is to enhance the quality of safety and security of our college community, which includes students, staff, faculty and visitors. The Department of Public Safety accomplishes this mission in partnership with the community.

The members of our Department are a reflection of the diversity of the people we serve. The Department is committed to providing professional services with respect, dignity, compassion, courtesy and integrity, recognizing the rights and differences of all members of our community.

We are committed to the professional and personal development of all Department members.  We expect all Department members to model excellence and leadership.  We are part of the educational process at Saint Mary’s College, helping guide and lead students to achieve their goals.
