Peter Freund is a media artist, curator, and theorist. As an artist, he works principally in film/video and web-based formats and has exhibited internationally in gallery, museum, and festival settings, in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Middle East. His current research and art projects explore the relationships between fantasy and historical memory, trauma and desire, language and otherness. In Fall 2012, Freund is returning from a sabbatical in Hong Kong, where he was a visiting artist/scholar with the Hong Kong Society of Psychoanalysis.
