About
Join us with director Tarabu Betserai Kirkland for a screening of 100 Years from Mississippi, followed by a discussion and ice cream and coffee social!
In 100 Years from Mississippi, Tarabu Betserai Kirkland details the life of his late mother, Mamie, who at the age of 108 confronts the place that she fled as an 8-year-old child due to the very real threat of lynchings. Because the act of learning and remembering is an act of resistance, this is an important film and discussion for all to engage in.
