About
Mary Wollstonecraft’s A Vindication of the Rights of Woman reinterpreted liberal ideas of individualism to claim equal opportunities for women and men. At the same time, it reinforced patriarchal values and gendered ways of knowing. A short talk on Wollstonecraft will be followed by a group discussion with students and faculty.
With Sheila Hughes, Natasha Munshi, & Ellen Rigsby
