Dennis Patrick Wood '71

Dennis Patrick Wood has been a clinical psychologist for the past 35 years, consulting with the Virtual Reality Medical Center, San Diego, since 2006, and is also affiliated with the Crownview Medical Group in Coronado. Most recently, he has worked with U.S. Marines and sailors diagnosed with combat-related post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), using a form of exposure therapy that uses virtual reality, computer technology, meditation and biofeedback. Dennis has co-authored a paper titled "Cybertherapy for Combat-Related posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Pain Management and Physical Rehabilitation Following stroke" that appeared in the Wounds of War II/ NATO Science for Peace and Security Series, published by NATO in July 2010.
