State Vaccine Priority Update for Higher Education

Late last week the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) updated COVID-19 vaccine allocation guidelines for people working in education and childcare. We are pleased to share that the State’s Phase 1B, Tier 1 vaccine priority now includes “All staff in colleges, universities, junior colleges, community colleges, and other postsecondary education facilities.”

Please note that vaccines are not currently available to workers in education through the County or through our regional healthcare providers, per the County’s “Get Vaccinated” website.  However, we will continue to provide news about additional developments regarding vaccine availability in Contra Costa County.
