About
The Nicomachean Ethics is a foundational document for ethical reflection, the source of Catholic thought on both virtue and natural law. Implicit in the Ethics is the theory that humans, by nature, reach out to know, and that the knowledge we seek can only be found in dialogue with friends. It’s fair to say that Aristotle’s text gave rise to university education itself.
