About
Horrific events can be hard to talk about and harder to understand. Join two film scholars for a screening of Night and Fog, a 1956 short French documentary about the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps. The facilitators will then compare the graphic novel Maus to the film’s poetic approach, and invite participants to ask how each uses different mediums and aesthetic strategies to make meaning of the traumatic history of the Holocaust.
With Jason Jakaitis & Lisa Manter
CONTENT ADVISORY: Night and Fog contains graphic images of dead bodies that some may find disturbing.
