Men’s Basketball: Selection Show Watch Party

Admission is free to the event at the UCU Pavilion. See where Saint Mary's lands in the tournament.

Saint Mary's Men's Basketball is once again inviting all fans to attend the NCAA Selection Show Watch Party on Sunday, March 12, inside University Credit Union Pavilion.

Selection Sunday is when the full bracket for the 68-team NCAA men's basketball tournament is revealed. The tournament is filled with 32 conference champions who have earned automatic bids, as well as 36 at-large teams. As regular season champs for the West Coast Conference, Saint Mary's is guaranteed a bid in the tournament.

The event begins at 2 p.m., with doors to UCU Pavilion and the Vieira Family Courtyard opening at that time. The selection show begins at 3 p.m. and will be streamed live on the video board inside the Pavilion, ending at around 4 p.m.

Tickets for NCAA Tournament Available on Sunday

The Saint Mary's ticket office will be onsite to assist with questions about tickets for the NCAA Tournament. The opening round of the NCAA Tournament will take place at various locations throughout the US on March 16–17. The SMCGaels.com website has set up a form where fans can purchase a limited number of tickets to the first (and second) rounds of the NCAA Tournament. The link to purchase limited tickets will be live minutes after the bracket is revealed.

Last season, the Gaels earned the best seed in program history by locking up a five seed for the NCAA Tournament. SMC beat Indiana in the first round of the tournament before falling to fourth-seeded UCLA in the second round. In the latest bracketology projections, the Gaels are once again on the five line.
