Professional Overview

Molly J. Henrikson Kerr is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Teacher Education Department. Molly began teaching in the Single Subject Program in the fall of 2009. In 2012, Molly was part of the collaborative instructional team, who designed the curriculum for the Master in Teaching Program (MAIT). She also created the elective Women in America for the MAIT program, which reflects her scholarly interest in women’s history. Molly’s Master’s thesis from Stanford University was entitled, Representations of Women’s Wartime Contributions in Film, 1942-1946: Perpetuating the Cult of Domesticity. Molly earned her undergraduate degree from UC Davis in Political Science and History. In addition to her work with SMC, Molly is an award winning social science teacher at Campolindo High School. Molly is committed to providing an inclusive and multicultural curriculum for her students. She is a leader at her school and within the Acalanes Union High School District. Molly is currently spearheading the implementation of restorative justices practices at Campolindo High School, and she also serves as the AUHSD Induction Liaison and Coordinator of New Teacher Mentors.
