Politics Sophomore Jacob Haas Accepted as Honors Scholar at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute
Jacob Haas applied for the Honors Program at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, a conservative think-tank founded by William F. Buckley himself in the 1950’s, and was accepted as an Honors Scholar. This summer, he will fly out to Virginia, free of charge and at ISI’s expense, to work with them for a week, where he will be assigned a Conservative scholar to help guide him and his own intellectual journey over the next year. The Program is highly selective, with only 50 people being accepted yearly, most of whom come from Harvard, Stanford, Yale, and other top universities.
"It’s an incredible honor, and I’m proud to represent Saint Mary’s. ISI has a long commitment to supporting intellectual conservatism and sharing that tradition with college students. I’m very grateful for the opportunity." - Jacob Haas
