Professor Bedford Palmer II Discusses Kanye West with Multiple News Outlets
Saint Mary's Bedford Palmer II, Associate Professor of Psychology and Chair of the SMC Counseling Department, spoke with Gizmodo reporter Jody Serrano to discuss the relationship, or lack thereof, between mental health and the hateful behavior displayed recently by Kanye West. Palmer, who is also a licensed psychologist and expert in Black psychology, discusses the separation between West's behavior and behaviors caused by mental illness and also references past behavior by the artist. Professor Palmer has also joined KTLA and KTVU to discuss the issue, and the links to those interviews can be found below.
