Savannah Mattox ’18: Communication and Ethnic Studies
Savannah Mattox’s infectious personality and a desire to help others make her a perfect fit for her life at Saint Mary’s. Savannah has enthusiastically embraced opportunities to broaden her leadership skills and contribute to the community by volunteering widely on campus, including working with CILSA (the Catholic Institute for Lasallian Social Action). Aiming for a broadcast journalism career, Savannah credits Professor Ynez Wilson Hurst with influencing her decision to pair her Communication major with an Ethnic Studies minor. “And she helped me learn invaluable life lessons about myself and the world we live in. I can’t imagine myself anywhere else.”
