Census Form Information

The census date is the date that marks a student's official enrollment at the College. It is used for determining state and federal financial aid appropriations and is the date at which active student enrollments are “certified” each term for various forms of internal and external reporting (budgeting, course schedule planning, retention, etc.).

  • The census date for our Students is September 23, 2022. The Census is to be submitted on GaelXpress 2.0

Since the College certifies enrollments at Census, it is crucial to have accurate class rosters on that date.  Please carefully review your class rosters in GaelXpress 2.0 and enter information if:

  1. There is a student on your class roster who has not attended class.

  2. There is a student on your class roster who has stopped attending class (despite your outreach attempts, you have not heard from the students).

If there is a student who is attending class, but is not on your official class roster via GaelXpress (Moodle is not considered the official roster), you must direct them to fill out the Late Course Adjustment Form. Otherwise, they will not be receiving credit for your class since their name will not appear on Gradebook 2.0 when grades are due.

As a result of filing Census, the College (Registrar, Success Coaches, etc.) will work to contact the student to verify enrollment.  Should you have any other information regarding this student you believe would be beneficial to share, please contact regoff@stmarys-ca.edu.
