Internship Petition

This petition is to be filed with the Office of the Registrar no later than the end of drop/add period for each term.

Undergraduate students may arrange with individual instructors and employers to undertake an educational internship.

Academic credit is not awarded for work experience, but rather for the educational study which utilizes the work setting.

All fields are required.

  • This petition must be completed in detail with your Internship Faculty Advisor prior to submission.
  • Internships pursued for academic credit during the Summer term require a tuition payment
  • Only quarter credit internships pursued during the Fall and Spring terms are free of charge

All Internships must be approved by the Internship Faculty Advisor, by the Department Chair/Program Director or Dean, and by the Registrar's Office. The Registrar's office will forward your request to the instructor and chair for approval. You will receive an e-mail once the internship has been approved or denied. This process may take one to two weeks for completion.
