Environmental chemists examine the chemicals in everything—air, water, soil—in order to safeguard our future.

Saint Mary’s Environmental track will prepare you to tackle the myriad environmental challenges facing us today, offering you a diverse and comprehensive Chemistry education that includes organic chemistry, soil science, and ecology. We’ll provide you with a balance of theoretical knowledge, experimental work, interdisciplinary study, and real-world examples. You’ll hone your ability to reason through unfamiliar problems, learn the tools to investigate topics in depth, and gain the communication skills needed to share information with others. With our small class sizes and the mentorship of our renowned faculty, you can make lasting connections in our tight-knit community of difference-makers.
