Join SMC's Creative Writing Department in Hagerty Lounge for an afternoon reading and conversation with visiting writer Rita Bullwinkel, author of Headshot, as she discusses her art, life, and writing process.
Rita Bullwinkel is the author of Headshot, longlisted for the 2024 Booker Award, and Belly Up, which received the Believer Book Award. A recipient of the 2022 Whiting Award, she is the editor of McSweeney’s Quarterly, a contributing editor at NOON, and the creator of Oral Florist. She is also a Picador Guest Professor of Literature at Leipzig University.
Visiting Writer events at Saint Mary's are free, open to the public, and ADA Accessible. Visitor parking is available on campus and light refreshments will be served.
