This documentary features former NFL quarterback Don McPherson as he takes a closer look at how our culture’s ideas about masculinity can lead to sexism and violence against women. He points out that boys are often taught “not to be women” instead of being given a positive, healthy picture of what manhood can be. Those messages create “blind spots” that affect how people grow and how misogyny continues. Based on his book of the same name, the film is meant to spark honest conversations about gender and equality.
