About
The desire for safety is natural. But how much political weight should we give that desire? As a country, how much risk—from internal revolt or external aggressors—should we tolerate? Using the resources of political philosophy, we’ll ask how prioritizing security above all can lead to unjust outcomes. Then we’ll reflect on the costs we each must bear, to balance our need for security with respect for all persons as moral equals.
