About

The MFA in Dance program presents In the Ether. Featuring work by members of the graduating cohort of 2026: Jordan Shadley Machine (Un/relearning), Jessica Batha The Light We Inherit, Sky Zakaar Under Open Skies and Marjorye Maciel Retalhos de mim costurado por nós

In the Ether is an evening of dance exploring the invisible threads that shape human experience; memory, identity, connection, and healing. Through four distinct yet interconnected works, the performance journeys between the digital and embodied self, the resilience born from struggle and community, and the generative power of inheritance, relationship, and light. Together, the pieces ask how we remain connected to one another in a world marked by fragmentation, displacement, inequality, inequity, and transformation, ultimately revealing healing as both a personal and collective act.

Performances are happening on campus, in LeFevre Theatre. Please meet at will call in LeFevre Theatre.
