As we launch Women's History Month, the Center for Women & Gender Equity, the CCIE Sub-committee on Gender Equity & Women's History, the Mission & Ministry Center, the Museum of Art and the Dean of Students are partnering to offer you two great programs as Tarabu Betserei Kirkland, the writer, director and producer of "100 Years From Mississippi" comes to our campus. Kirkland's film details the journey of his mother, Mamie Lang Kirkland, a woman who shares her story fleeing Mississippi as an 8 year old child during the threat of public lynchings.
Join us at the Museum of Art at 1:00pm for a screening of ''100 Years from Mississippi' and a question & answer with the Director and Producer Terabu Betserei Kirkland
Join us outside of Mission & Ministry for the Solidarity Supper with Terabu Betserei Kirkland at 5pm.
We will offer a final screening of the film at 6pm after the Solidarity Supper.
