Graduate and Professional Studies New Student Orientation

Incoming Graduate and Professional Studies Students are invited to attend the 2026 Graduate Student Orientation.  This invitation is open to all graduate students who started or are starting their graduate-level program in Summer or Fall 2026. 

This orientation is designed to welcome you to the 2026-2027 academic year, provide information on campus resources, academic support services and connect you with key representatives on campus that can help you have a smooth experience at SMC.  ***Please note that your individual college or degree program may also have a program-specific orientation, this orientation will be in addition to your program-specific orientation.

The orientation will be held on campus in the Soda Center on  Saturday, August 22nd from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Continental breakfast and coffee/tea service will be provided.
