About
Majeedah Wesley was born in the Healthy Babies project in Oakland and went on to be the first in her family to pursue a college education. During her first semester, she lost her housing. She moved into a shelter in Hollywood and commuting to and from school in Long Beach while holding down a job in student government.
Angel Levy is a student and a parent who has faced housing insecurity. After learning to navigate the various resources, Angel often tries to support others who are facing similar challenges.
Pastor Lauren Michelle Stevens is an SMC alum and frequently helps unhoused people through her role as the minister of the Methodist Church.
Abigail Abigail Shamelashvili is a case worker at the Trinity Center in Walnut Creek. She works with community members facing homelessness to connect them with resources, shelters, job skills, food, showers, resources and more.
The panel discussion will take place in the Museum of Art at 6pm, after the solidarity supper.
