About

Interested in learning more about the diverse world of communication? Looking for ways to increase your skillset and marketability with a wide-reaching, multidisciplinary degree?

Join our Spring Meet and Greet event to learn more about SMC's one-year Comm graduate program that accepts students from any major. Students of all grade levels are encouraged to attend as long as they show an interest in the principles and foundations of Communication.

While a background in Comm might give you a head-start on certain concepts and skills you’ll encounter in the classroom, it is definitely not required to succeed in our Master’s—in fact, we believe that an MA in Communication can apply to any major and help students become better in whatever field they choose to pursue.

Program Director Dr. Hefner will be on hand with Collin Skeen, Assistant Director of Admissions, to share information about the MA, our undergrad Bridge Courses which can save time and money during the grad program, important application information to receive scholarship consideration for Fall 2026, and to celebrate our current cohort of Graduate Communication students.

Free food will be served!
