Come learn about one of the world’s first superheroes, Wu Cheng’en’s legendary Monkey King (Sun Wukong) and meet his traveling companions Pigsy, Sandy, and Tripitaka. The presenters will share historical context and a sampling of contemporary Monkey Kings, as found in comic books, TV, movies, and children’s books—all to help you dive into the Chinese classic Journey to the West.
