About

Join us for this screening of Rebel Hearts, the true story of Corita Kent and the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who fought to define their own lives as women of faith, educators, and advocates for justice in the 1960s.

Both screenings of this film (at 2:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.) will be held in the SMC Museum of Art, surrounded by Corita Kent's serigraphs featured in the fall exhibition, "heroes & sheroes."

After the 2:15 screening, there will be a time of sharing and Q&A with at least one special guest, who will talk about her own experiences as a former Sister of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and a contemporary of Corita Kent.

Light snacks will be served during both screenings, and everyone is invited to attend Solidarity Supper, a free meal hosted in the nearby Fountain Courtyard from 5–6 p.m. by the Mission & Ministry's GaelPantry team & Engaged Learning students.
