About
Interested in pursuing your MFA and making the most out of your writing? You're invited to join Saint Mary's MFA in Creative Writing and MFA Program Director Chris Feliciano Arnold for an interactive + informative deep dive into Saint Mary's historic Bay Area graduate writing program with concentrations in Poetry, Creative Nonfiction, and Fiction.
In addition to highlighting Saint Mary's small cohort model, contemporary curriculum, commitment to social justice, accomplished faculty, and much more, Chris will also provide insights to help prospective students make the most out of their MFA experience wherever they land—whether you're interested in cultivating community, uncovering the perfect work/life/writing balance, or finding a program that truly fits what you're looking for as a writer, this seession will have something for you!
While we'll often speak specifically to the program here at SMC, we hope that this session will be beneficial for anyone who's looking to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing in the future.
Saint Mary's Virtual Information Sessions are designed to give prospective students the opportunity to connect directly with our faculty, staff, and students in a smaller environment. All attendees will receive an application fee waiver and our Assistant Director of Admissions, Collin Skeen, will also be on hand to answer any questions about the application process and financial aid opportunities.
Our Priority/International deadline for new cohorts beginning in Fall 2027 is Friday, January 8th, 2026 while our final, general deadline is Friday, February 12th, 2027.
