About
Interested in furthering your artistic practice and making the most out of your professional opportunities?
You're invited to join Saint Mary's MFA in Dance for our upcoming Spring Preview event featuring Program Director Rosana Barragan. In this session, we'll provide a general overview of our MFA program and highlight important topics such as our commitment to social justice, program curriculum, on-campus Housing for our Summer and January Intensives, Financial Aid, and how to apply before our general April 10th, 2026 application deadline. A brief Q&A will follow.
Saint Mary's MFA in Dance is rooted in the diversity and social justice focus of the Bay Area dance scene while providing students with an education focused on the full artist in areas like choreography, somatics, theory, and design so our graduates can fully leverage their abilities in professional roles like teaching, production, administration, and more.
In addition to a curriculum that focuses on highlighting diversity and establishing equity in Dance, our program constantly asks students to consider their identity, privilege, and purpose—all in the hopes of helping our students become better dancers, teachers, artists, and human beings.
Register using the form below and a Zoom entry link will be emailed to you with your confirmation. All attendees will receive an application fee waiver.
We look forward to meeting you and you can learn more about our program in this video.
