SMC's MFA in Creative Writing: Meet Marilyn Abildskov (Creative Nonfiction)
Featuring Core Faculty Teaching in Saint Mary's MFA
Date & Time
Location (Online)
About
You're invited to join Saint Mary's MFA in Creative Writing core faculty member Marilyn Abildskov for an evening discussion revolving around creative nonfiction as a concentration at Saint Mary's, what to expect when pursuing an MFA degree, and finding a fulfilling writing life both during the program and post-graduation. All prospective students and current applicants interested in creative nonfiction or interdisciplinary writing are strongly encouraged to attend.
While we'll often speak specifically to the program here at SMC, we hope that this session will be informative and beneficial for anyone who's looking to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing.
Saint Mary's Virtual Information Sessions are designed to give prospective students the opportunity to connect directly with our faculty, staff, and students in a smaller environment. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with the program directly and our Assistant Director of Admissions, Collin Skeen, will also be on hand to answer any questions about the application process. Our Priority/International deadline for new cohorts beginning in Fall 2026 is Friday, December 26th, 2025 while our final, General deadline is Friday, February 13th, 2026.
