About
Political thinker John Locke founded the liberal philosophical tradition that undergirds American democracy. Today our form of government is under threat, criticized from both the left and right. Some even ask whether democracy itself is worth saving. Can Locke’s ideas, once important to this country’s founding, help us with today’s big problems? After introductory remarks by a faculty scholar, we will explore these questions together.
