Dr. Julie Ford
Director, Glee Club and Chamber Singers

Dr. Julie Ford (julieford.org) is a conductor, vocalist, and educator in the San Francisco Bay Area who specializes in classical, early music, jazz, and pop/commercial styles. Her professional expertise is in choral-vocal performance practices and cross-genre integration, and is recognized globally for developing a non-genre biased, science-based vocal-choral pedagogical curriculum for higher education. As Associate Professor at Saint Mary’s College of California, she serves as Director of Vocal-Choral activities, teaches Vocal Science, Diction, Private Voice, and Conducting, and directs Chamber Singers, Jazz Singers, and Glee. Her ensembles have earned state, national, and international acclaim, receiving two Silver and two Gold Medals at the World Choir Games Championship competitions (2014 & 2018), and performances highlighted at the CA State Music Educators Conference (2016), Carnegie Hall (choral showcase by invitation, 2015), ACDA National Convention (2009: Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church Chamber Singers), Harmony Sweepstakes (2008: Moodswing), and Yoshi's (1999: Oakland Jazz Choir ).
