Professional Overview

Barbara McLaughlin is a marketing consultant on the Board of Advisors with ConX, Inc. and an adjunct faculty member with Saint Mary's College of California. In addition to Public Relations  & Communications, she has taught International Business, Project Planning and Development, The Senior Practicum, Multicultural Management, Organizational Theory, and Marketing. She was previously adjunct professor with Golden Gate University teaching Telecommunications in Business, International Communications, and e-Commerce.

Prior to her teaching career, Barbara was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for CETRUS, Inc. an ASP startup offering design software to engineers on a pay-per-use basis. Before joining CETRUS, she was Vice President of Sales for Virtual Visits, an Internet start-up marketing solutions creator for the recreation and resort industries.

Dr. McLaughlin previously held executive, consultant and director level positions with AT&T. Her 17 years of telecommunications experience ranged from Marketing and Sales to International Operations including Procurement, Compensation and staff assignments supporting both consumer and business markets. Appointed Director of AT&T Supplier Diversity Program for California; executed turn-around to satisfy CPUC GO 156.  Her international work focused on negotiating service level agreements with Asian Telecommunications companies involving travel, presentations and technician exchanges. Barbara managed large local and global teams, projects, training and multimillion-dollar budgets within the various disciplines.

Barbara received her BA from California State University in Psychology and Economics (Cum Laude), an Executive MBA from the University of Southern California, and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary's College of California.
