Professional Overview

Bio: Phuong Anh Nguyen is Chair and Associate Professor in the Business Analytics Department in the School of Economics and Business Administration at Saint Mary’s College of California. She joined SMC in July 2012. Her current research interests are in Continuous Improvement, Lean Production, Quality Management, Innovation and Creativity, Global and Sustainable Operations Management, Operations in the Gig-Economy. 

Education: Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; M.B.A. from the California State University, East Bay; B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California at Berkeley
