Education

Michelle Riley is an Assistant Professor in the Health Science Department, specializing in nutrition and public health. She holds a BS in Biology from the University of Missouri, a MHS in nutrition from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and a PhD in medical nutrition science from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She has 15 years of education experience in both community and higher education settings. Her research interests include food and nutrition literacy, health education, food security, and their relationship with overall wellbeing. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, hiking, and trying new foods.
