About

After a few years away, we are bringing back the Saint Mary's College JanTerm Children's Show! We'll be presenting "Folk Tails: Animal Stories from Around the World" in LeFevre Theatre Jan. 26-29, 2027. RESERVATIONS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED! So, reserve early to get the date/time that works best for your class.

Introduce your young audiences to tales from around the world with this creative collection of six different animal stories. There’s something for everyone in these delightful stories, which include: “The Monkey’s Heart” (India), “Anansi’s Dinner Guest” (Ghana), “The Bremen Town Musicians” (Germany), “Coyote Gets Revenge” (Chippewa), “Why There Are No Tigers in Borneo” (Indonesia), and “Why Dog Chases All Other Animals” (Congo).

The Saint Mary’s production will feature boisterous antics, inventive staging, and imaginative physical storytelling by a talented ensemble of SMC undergraduate students in a 45-60 minute play.

Ticket prices will be $10 per person (including students, teachers, and chaperones). Evening performances are at 6pm on Wed., Jan. 27, and 4pm on Thurs., Jan. 28, for $12/person.
