From Blood Drives to Bunny Hunts: Residence Hall Association Brings Energy and Connection to Campus in March
The Residence Hall Association (RHA) brought a full calendar of programs to campus throughout March, offering students a mix of social events, wellness activities, and service opportunities. Funded by the Student Enhancement Fee, the events were designed to support student connection and create accessible spaces for engagement, particularly during evenings and weekends when students are looking for ways to unwind and build community.
Programming began with a Roommate Mixer on March 10, where students explored potential living arrangements for the 2026 to 2027 academic year. The event provided a structured but informal setting for students to meet, ask questions, and begin conversations about shared living preferences. A second mixer followed on March 17, giving students additional time to connect and solidify plans.
On March 14, RHA hosted Lucky Charms and Charm Bracelets, a craft-based program that invited students to create custom bracelets and bag charms while enjoying a nostalgic cereal snack. The event drew steady participation throughout the evening, with students engaging in hands-on activities while socializing in a relaxed environment.
Seasonal programming continued with a First Day of Spring Coffee Truck on March 20, featuring beverages from Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee. The event provided a convenient and popular stop for students between classes, encouraging brief but meaningful moments of connection during the day.
Weekend programming on March 21 included Brunch and Bouquets, where students gathered for a casual morning event that combined food and creative expression through do-it-yourself floral arrangements, crafts, and bagels. Sunday, March 22 saw RHA partner with Peer Advocates for Wellness to host an Easter Egg Hunt and Goat Yoga event. The program combined light physical activity, interactive elements, and refreshments from Jamba Juice, creating a unique and engaging experience that drew a wide range of participants.
The month concluded with the Spring 2026 Blood Drive on March 24, held in partnership with the American Red Cross. The drive resulted in 37 donations, contributing to ongoing community health efforts and giving students an opportunity to participate in service beyond campus.
Across all events, RHA maintained a focus on providing consistent opportunities for students to connect outside of academic settings. Weekend and late-night programs in particular continue to play an important role in fostering a sense of belonging, offering students accessible ways to meet peers, build relationships, and engage with campus life.
Through support from the Student Enhancement Fee, RHA’s March programming reflects an ongoing commitment to creating inclusive, student-centered experiences that strengthen the residential community.
