Important Information About the Student Vaccine Portal
Dear Students,
We are looking forward to seeing you again, in person, this upcoming fall semester. As I mentioned in my message from April 30, an essential component of safely returning to an open campus and a complete residential experience for undergraduates is the requirement that all students who intend to live in the residence halls or take in-person classes be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Again, we will allow exemptions for students with documented medical or religious reasons.
In order to document your COVID-19 immunizations, we have created a Vaccine Portal. This will allow you to fulfill your COVID vaccine requirement by either submitting documentation of your vaccine or completing a medical or religious exemption form. There is a third option of indicating that you do not plan to take in-person classes for the 2021-2022 academic year. We ask that all students log in to the portal and complete all of the information required. The deadline is August 1, but we request that you complete it as soon as possible.
Students who have an approved exemption will be required to complete weekly COVID testing and wear a mask, according to the CDC Guidelines for those who are unvaccinated. More information can be found on the COVID-19 News and Resources page. Any questions about the vaccine requirement should be directed to studentvaccines@stmarys-ca.edu.
Thank you for your efforts to protect the health of our entire community. With everyone’s vigilance and care we can look forward to being together on our beloved campus this fall.
Sincerely,
Margaret Kasimatis
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
