In preparation for their end-of-the-semester concert, the Jazz Band is taking a trip next weekend (April 24-26) to perform in Reno's Jazz Festival. The festival is a three-day, non-competitive educational and performance event held at the University of Nevada, Reno, featuring world-class artists and student ensembles. The festival includes clinics, workshops, and evening concerts in the Nightingale Concert Hall. It focuses on education, with performances from middle school, high school, and college groups. Along with the Music Program Director Sixto F. Montesinos Jr. and Jazz Ensemble Director Malachi Whitson, the jazz band students going on the trip include Jadon Campagna, Caleb Emmett,  Natalia Hamade, Marwa Hashemi, Kaylin Holliman, Evan Holloway, Matthew Horsley, Jackson Thornborrow, and Reign Saldana.

We wish them safe travels!
