MFA in Dance Student Imani Teague's Dance Film Selected for Prestigious Film Festival
Imani Teague, a current MFA in Dance student, has had her film MUJER NOIRE selected for the 49th Annual Dance on Camera Festival by the Dance Films Association and Film at Lincoln Center. Choreographed, performed, and filmed by Imani, the work was originally made for her Choreography III class she took at Saint Mary's. MUJER NOIRE explores the feminine soul evoked through movement, music and sensuality. The music for the film is "Milongueo del Ayer" performed by Craig Einhorn. The Dance on Camera Festival at Lincoln Center is the first, and longest running dance film festival in the world. The festival will be from July 16-18 and include full length and short films. They will be screened at Film at Lincoln Center Cinema, and virtually. Imani's film will premiere virtually on July 18th as part of the #mydancefilm shorts segment.
For those interested in viewing Imani's film, it will be available virtually on July 18th as a part of Program 4 #mydancefilms selections and is free to everyone who registers for an account on the FLC Virtual Cinema.
