Saint Mary's College Guild Celebrates Its 75th

by SMC College Communications | September 4, 2014

On September 13, the Saint Mary's College Guild celebrates its 75th anniversary with Mass, a social and dinner on campus. The Guild was formed in 1939 to further the principles of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, assuring education for all. The membership includes former students, Saint Mary’s faculty and staff, parents, community members and friends of the College. This dedicated group of volunteers—who have at their heart the welfare and financial support of Saint Mary’s students—has raised more than $1 million for scholarships over its history, providing $45,000 annually.

Please join the party on the Soda Center patio for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by an elegant filet mignon dinner with wine in the Soda Center. The evening begins in the Chapel with Mass at 5:30 p.m.and organ music provided by Br. Martin Yribarren. Music continues on the patio of the Soda Center with our lovely harpist, and the dinner period will include songs provided by the gold medal–winning SMC Chamber Singers and Glee Club, recently returned from their triumphant performance in Latvia.
