Gather with us Dec. 5, 2025, for an afternoon that blends festive cheer with artistic purpose.
From 1:00–1:25 pm, we’ll gather around the Christmas tree in the Syufy Performing Arts Center’s 2nd floor lobby for a burst of joyful community caroling and cookies — a moment to sing, share, and spark the spirit of the season, sponsored by the Expressive & Performing Arts Division.

Then follow that energy to the UCU Pavilion lawn for the first event in a brand-new, student-produced event:

Lights Up! – Artists to Action

a Senior Capstone Project by Carolyn Gersten.

At a moment when the arts face shrinking budgets and growing challenges, this event calls us to gather, witness, and respond. Conceived by Gersten and created with the Theatre Class of ’26, Artists to Action brings together over 30 performing and expressive artists from across Saint Mary’s. What emerges is both a celebration and a rallying cry — an invitation to recognize the arts’ power:
to confront.
to provoke.
to resist.
