SMC Students Battle in the pool to take the slippery watermelon across the other side.

What the Watermelon?!

Whipped Cream and Messy Word Games make the Perfect Combination to Welcome New Students to Saint Mary’s College

by Campus Recreation | September 4, 2026

Hosted by Residential Experience, Campus Recreation and Club Sports, the WOW pool party on August 29 welcomed new students to campus with unique games and a reason to get messy. Club Sport Student Leaders greeted both first-years and transfers and introduced them to the 15 sports available for the student body to join, while Campus Recreation Student Leaders judged the belly flop competition and challenged first-years in SMC trivia.

Funded by the enhancement fee, which supports events, programs, and adventure trips for SMC Students.
