"Where the Seasons Meet"

Saint Mary’s College Dance Company proudly presents “Where the Seasons Meet”, a shared concert of dances presented by ten choreographers from the Class of 2026. This exciting dance production offers the audience a range of dance styles including Contemporary, Modern, Baile Folklórico, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Tap, West African, and Dance Theatre. After four years of study in the Dance Program, these emerging choreographers are creating personal works exploring themes of culture and identity, community, purpose, personal growth and individuality, resilience, and love. Come to celebrate these incredible choreographers and their new work! 

The Saint Mary’s College Dance Company is excited to present the compelling performances of this fall’s dance concert, “Where the Seasons Meet.” This shared student-led showcase is choreographed, produced, and performed by the Dance Program’s Class of 2026: Angie Dela Cruz, Karis Garrison, Torrance Goleman, Skyla Loffland, Samantha Owada, Terren Ransom, Isabella Rollins, Anya Tang, Brandon Valerio, and Isabela Zendejas.

These emerging choreographers are exploring what it means to assign meaning to movement in collaboration with their fellow dancers and share their ideas with the larger community of SMC and beyond. This production is a celebration of diverse cultural expressions that explore themes of community, purpose, personal growth and individuality, struggles with conformity, connecting with your identity, resilience, and love. 

Dance Concert Director Shaunna Vella says, “I’m so excited and honored to support these choreographers presenting their artistic visions to the Saint Mary’s College community. 'Where the Seasons Meet; highlights the multi-cultural curriculum of our dance program as these student choreographers are using diverse movement styles and cultural expressions to address themes and concepts that are important to them as young people in 2025. I appreciate that they are taking bold risks in their artistic choices while highlighting the artistic excellence of our dancers. This show is exciting, entertaining, beautiful and not to be missed!” 

The creative team for Where the Seasons Meet includes lighting design by Matthew Robertson, costuming by students, production support by Dance Production Manager Danielle Ferguson, Stage Manager Carolyn Gersten, along with the technical crew.

WHERE: Live, In-Person Performances at LeFevre Theatre, and live-streamed on November 15 at 2 pm

WHEN: November 21-23 at 8:00 pm (in-person) and November 23 at 2:00 pm (live-streamed and in-person performance)
