DESCRIPTION: 

The Black Mental Health series includes a series of Black clinicians, teachers, and scholars who will speak on topics related to Black mental health. Dr. Lynna McPhatter-Harris, Director of Student Support, Equity, and Inclusion at the Acalanes Union High School District, will be speaking about misconceptions of Black mental Health. Dr. Carnetta Porter, Staff Therapist at Saint Mary’s Counseling and Psychological Services, will be talking about how Black lives matter at a predominantly white institution (PWI). We welcome both Drs. Lynna McPhatter-Harris and Porter! They will be speaking live from Dante Hall, Room 114, where refreshments will be served. These are hybrid events, so feel free to join via Zoom!
