Acknowledgment of Sexual of NSF Sexual Harassment Policy
All investigators on awards funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) are required to comply with the NSF’s Sexual Harassment Policy (https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/issuances/in144.pdf). 

As part of the application for an NSF grant, investigators (PIs and co-PIs) must sign an NSF Sexual Harassment Policy Acknowledgment Form indicating that they have read and understood the NSF Policy requirement. 

Responsible Conduct of Research for NSF Grants
All investigators on awards funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) are required to comply with the NSF’s Statutory Requirement Regarding Responsible Conduct of Research Training (https://www.nsf.gov/bfa/dias/policy/rcr.jsp), which states:

"The Director shall require that each institution that applies for financial assistance from the Foundation for science and engineering research or education describe in its grant proposal a plan to provide appropriate training and oversight in the responsible and ethical conduct of research to undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers participating in the proposed research project."

As part of the application for an NSF grant, investigators (PIs and co-PIs) must sign an NSF RCR PI - Co-PI Statement indicating that they understand the NSF requirement and that they will require completion of the CITI Responsible Conduct of Research module for all NSF-supported students.  

Research Ethics and Compliance Training
Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)
The CITI RCR Basic Course provides an in-depth review of the core RCR topics including authorship, collaborative research, conflicts of interest, human subjects, and research misconduct. Case studies and video examples are used to supplement key concepts.
