Lasallian Educator Fellowship Program
Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve
Become the Educator You’re Called to Be
Benefits | Qualifications | Deadlines | Application Process
Join a community of future educators committed to faith, service, and educational excellence. The Lasallian Educator Fellowship (LEF) combines graduate preparation with formation rooted in the Lasallian tradition.
For more than 20 years, the Lasallian Educator Fellowship has prepared future educators to serve in Lasallian and Catholic schools while earning their credential or other degree through the Kalmanovitz School of Education. As a Fellow, you’ll join a cohort experience rooted in Lasallian history, pedagogy, spirituality, and classroom practice—learning how to bring Lasallian Core Principles to life in today’s schools.
Open to Saint Mary’s graduates and graduates of other institutions, and current Lasallian educators committed to pursuing additional training, LEF supports both your professional preparation and your vocational formation.
Tuition Reduction
Receive significantly reduced tuition in exchange for three years of salaried service at a Lasallian or Catholic school.
Cohort Community
Move through your program alongside a dedicated group of Fellows who share your commitment to mission-driven teaching.
Mission-Centered
Deepen your understanding of Lasallian history, spirituality, and pedagogy—and how to integrate them into daily classroom practice.
Professional Mentorship
Engage with experienced Lasallian educators and leaders who support your growth.
Qualifications
This fellowship program is designed for Saint Mary's graduates and those from other schools whose vocation is to become an educator (teacher, counselor and/or administrator), and it is also for current Lasallian educators who wish to continue their graduate school education.

How to Apply
Submit your application to the Kalmanovitz School of Education for your KSOE program. Admission to a KSOE program is required before you can be considered for the Lasallian Educator Fellowship.
After applying to KSOE, submit the separate Lasallian Educator Fellowship (LEF) application. This application helps us understand your commitment to teaching in Lasallian or Catholic schools and your readiness to serve in a mission-driven community.
As part of the LEF application, you will:
- Reflect on your philosophy of teaching
- Describe the subjects you are prepared to teach (or are preparing to teach)
- Share your co-curricular gifts and talents that could enrich school life
- Reflect on how your faith life and vocation as a teacher intersect
- Provide two letters of support
Letters of recommendation may be uploaded directly with your application or sent to the Office of Mission.
