Associate Dean Guido Krickx takes on a new position at Sacramento State University
Dr. Guido Krickx, Associate Dean of Graduate Business Programs and faculty, will be leaving Saint Mary’s College to take on the new position of Dean, College of Continuing Education, at Sacramento State University.
Guido has been at Saint Mary’s for almost 6 years. He has led Graduate Business successfully in recruiting students for various graduate business programs at multiple locations (Santa Clara, San Francisco,
Moraga, and San Ramon), meeting net revenue targets of graduate business programs for the College, hiring a team of capable and professional managers and staff, rebuilding the Executive MBA and Professional MBA programs, and attracting new faculty members to join the School of Economics and Business Administration.
Under his leadership, the Graduate Business programs have been growing and attracting more and better students, even during the current lengthy recession. He has led efforts to improve the recruitment strategy and process, which resulted in an increased number of applicants. He has been instrumental in building and managing budgets for Graduate Business and delivering expected net revenue targets for the College.
Guido has led successful recruitments for a number of tenure-track faculty members for Graduate Business. This has significantly enhanced the quality of our faculty, graduate business programs, and students’ learning experience at SEBA. He has been a key and valuable member of the School’s leadership team in moving our School towards the AACSB accreditation.
With the faculty and staff team, Guido was also able to reconnect Graduate Business alumni and support alumni programming with a net result that Graduate Business has one of the most active and engaged
alumni chapters with four active regional councils. “We are very happy and excited for Guido’s professional achievement and new endeavors, though we will miss his friendship and dedicated leadership in Graduate Business programs,” says Zhan Li, Dean of the Saint Mary’s College School of Economics and Business Administration.
A farewell party will be organized, please contact us if you’d like to be included in the sendoff.
